Expo Photo: OBSESSIONS
The Espace Vanderborght is a centre of contemporary art that will host the exhibition “OBSESSIONS”, next January.
This is the final act of the photographic work of 12 emerging talents, characterized by a variety of looks and aesthetics under the common denominator of image obsession.
Each year, the graduates of the School of Photography and Visual Techniques Agnès Varda successfully exhibit in the Capital. This year, Vittoria BOCCARSI, Robert BUI, Guillaume CASSOUMOUNAT, Sylvie CUJAS, Michel DIEUDONNE, Sarah GOURET, Boris MARSCHALL, Anne-Flore MARY, Justine MAZGAJ, Masa TRIFUNOVIC, Tiphanie POLLET and Gaëlle REGNIER take up the challenge.
Whether it’s about taking a certain look at the world, questioning one’s own identity or experimenting with photographic material, these photographers will try to reach the public with an exhibition that is surprising and challenging in many ways. A fresco of obsessions will be offered to the public.
If in psychology obsession is the symptom of a conscience being attacked and suffering, here the obsession is rather the inner requirement to which the photographer submits and to which he or she brings sincerity.
When the obsession goes into the plural, it becomes an act of resistance. Because each photographer, in his or her own way, invites us and takes us by the hand to face an interrogative that will not leave us indifferent.
See you from 12 to 20 January 2019, close to the famous Royal Galleries Saint-Hubert and the Grand Place in an impressive area of 6000 square meters.
