Who can become a Member?
To become a member of AFILIATYS you need to be an official or other agent of the European Union Institutions, agencies and European « Offices », EIB, the European Institute of Florence, the diplomatic or consular services of the Member States, the European schools, the International organizations who are in active service or who have occupied an official fonction within one of these entities.
Why become a member of Afiliatys?
A prerequisite for joining HOSPI SAFE, AFILIATYS membership entitles you to:
- supplementary insurance to the JSIS called HOSPI SAFE SICKNESS & ACCIDENT, which provides additional reimbursement to that of the RCAM in the event of hospitalisation
- HOSPI SAFE PLUS insurance, which covers hospitalisation, routine medical care and dental care under certain conditions
- advice and assistance during office hours organised by AFILIATYS and ALLIANZ at the AFILIATYS headquarters
- certain exclusive offers (deals).
How much does it cost?
A unique registration fee of 5 euros makes you a lifetime member. This fee, very low as we are all aware, is a mandatory condition linked to the legal frame of non-profit associations, such as Afiliatys.

When will my subscription be effective?
You will become a member as soon as the registration steps have been completed and the membership fee of 5 euros transferred to our account. You should however be expecting 5 days between the day of your bank transfer and the confirmation email that you will receive with your membership number and access codes to our website.
What is Afiliatys?
Afiliatys is an apolitical and inter institutional association. It consists of 30 000 members. It is managed by EU Officials, actives and retired. All are volunteers.
How can I receive my Membership Card?
You can print your card from your personal account.
How can I liaise with an Afiliatys contact person?
AFILIATYS is not abl to respond to the questions of its 30 000 members concerning this FAQ. You can send an e-mail to info@afiliatys.eu and we will reply quickly.
How long will it take to receive an anwser to my questions?
AFILIATYS endeavours to respond to your enquiries as quickly as possible (within 2 to 5 days).
