HOSPI SAFE is a tailored insurance solution designed to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses for EU officials and other staff members of the Institutions, agencies and other bodies of the European Union, the EIB, Eurocontrol, the European University Institute in Florence, and the European Schools, who are either active or have previously held a statutory position within these organizations and are members of AFILIATYS. This coverage is maintained upon retirement.
AFILIATYS and ALLIANZ concluded a framework agreement in January 2020 (following a tender process) for a duration of 10 years, running until 31 December 2029.
